Description

Melanotan 2 has been designed as a treatment for major depressive disorder with a randomized multicenter double-blind placebo-controlled trial of a melanotan II analog, bremelanotide, in women with major depressive disorder who had responded inadequately to one or more antidepressants.

Melanotan 2 is a synthetic analogue of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone. Research has shown Melanotan to increase sexual arousal, diminish habitual and compulsive behavior, combat hunger, and encourage lean body mass.
