Description
The study showed that YK-11, a selective androgen receptor myostatin inhibitor, accelerates the expression of Follistatin in mice. Inhibition of myostatin results in increased muscle mass and improved strength. This study revealed that mice with low levels of myostatin have twice the amount of muscle mass compared to mice with high levels of myostatin. GW-501516, also known as Cardarine, is a PPAR agonist that was found to increase endurance and stamina in a study done on Kunming mice. MK-677, a Ghrelin mimetic, was found to enhance fluctuating growth hormone secretion and markedly increase fat free mass over a 12-month period in healthy older adults.
