Description

The drug is administered intravenously slowly over a period of 2-3 minutes. The dosage depends on the severity of the disease and the patient’s condition. In cases of acute decompensation, the recommended dose may be up to 100 mg/kg per day for 3-4 doses. If carnitine is discontinued, its level will decline again and the patient may need to undergo re-saturation treatment which is determined by quantitative determination of carnitine in blood plasma at regular intervals and by monitoring the patient’s condition.
