Description
Clomiphene is used to increase the chance of ovulation in women who do not ovulate on their own. It works by causing the body to act more like it does when estrogen levels are high, which induces ovulation.
Possible side effects of Clomiphene include:
- Flushing (extremely common)
- Ovulation pain and increased sensitivity –also called “mittelschmerz”
- Blurry vision, double vision or ‘traces,’ (a complication which may cause treatment to be discontinued)
- Moodiness (requiring discontinuation in severe cases)
- Nausea
- Breast tenderness
- Headache
- Vaginal dryness
