Description
Toremifene Citrate (Fareston) is an oral selective estrogen receptor modulator (SERM) which helps opposing the actions of estrogen in the body. Toremifene Citrate (Fareston) binds to estrogen receptors and produces both estrogenic and antiestrogenic effects, depending on the tissue.
The estrogenic effects occur in the uterus, vagina, bone, and mammary gland. The antiestrogenic effects include hot flashes and prevention of bone loss.
