BPC 157 is a peptide made up of 15 amino acids that has been shown to enhance the healing of wounds, including tendon wounds. In this study, the authors investigated the mechanism by which BPC 157 accelerates the healing process in an injured tendon. They found that BPC 157 significantly increased the outgrowth of tendon fibroblasts and the survival of cells under oxidative stress. Additionally, BPC 157 significantly increased in-vitro fibroblast migration.
