Description
From the studies performed to date, it appears that L-carnitine may play an important role in the recovery of bodybuilders. L-carnitine is a substance that is naturally produced by the body and is found in food such as red meat, fish, dairy and some vegetables. It’s also available as a supplement.
L-Carnitine is important in the transportation of fatty acids into the cell’s mitochondria (energy powerhouse), where they are oxidized to produce energy. During weight training, the body uses a lot of energy to fuel the muscles, and these processes require fatty acids, amino acids and carbohydrates.
