Description
Epitalon is a synthetic analog of a hormone that’s produced in the pineal gland called Epithalamin. The pineal gland is a small endocrine organ in the brain. Epithalamin’s production is inhibited with age due to the decrease in melatonin which results in the degradation of the genome with age. Epitalon is a long-acting analog of melatonin that’s been shown to restore the circadian rhythm and improve sleep in the elderly. It’s also shown to increase the production of telomerase, a protein that converts the telomeres at the ends of the DNA in human chromosomes to a longer length. Telomerase has been shown to have potent anti-aging effects in various species. The result is an increase in life expectancy.
