Description
Tesamorelin is a recombinant growth hormone-releasing factor (GHRF) analog that stimulates the growth hormone secretion. Tesamorelin binds to GHRF receptors and stimulates the growth hormone secretion. This results in the decreasing of abdominal fat and improvement of glucose and lipids metabolism. Tesamorelin is currently available for HIV-positive patients with lipodystrophy.
