Description

The REV–ERB antagonists SR9009 and SR9011 were shown to reduce the obesity and increase the energy expenditure by increasing the expression of Bmal1 and Per2, two core oscillators in the circadian timekeeping system. The activation of REV–ERB increased the transcription of the key circadian genes Bmal1 and Per2, resulting in an earlier diurnal rhythm of PER2::LUC reporter activity than in the control mice.
